Don Ceviche
About This Spot
Stepping into Don Ceviche feels like finding a vibrant crossroads where the spirit of Managua's local flavors comes alive. The pace here is lively yet inviting, a place where chatter mixes with the clinking of glasses and the warm smiles of attentive staff. It’s the kind of spot that draws a crowd not just for the food, but for the easy rhythm of shared moments—whether you’re settling in with friends or catching up over a well-deserved meal after a bustling day.
The air hums with the fresh zest of ceviche, which is clearly the heart of the experience here. Plates arrive with a splash of coastal character, where bright citrus and the ocean’s bounty mingle effortlessly. This isn’t a place for rushed bites; it’s a corner of Managua where time slows enough to savor each tangy, textured mouthful—be it the classic fish and shrimp ceviche or a plate piled with crispy, golden empanizados. Pairing these with a cold Cerveza Toña or Maestro adds a casual, refreshing finish that feels just right.
Beyond ceviche, the menu carries a warm familiarity. Dishes like tender grilled steaks and flavorful chicken wings sit comfortably alongside seafood classics, allowing every visitor to find their own kind of comfort here. Though it’s easy to fall for the seafood offerings, there’s a genuine buzz around the table, whether folks are sharing a basket of shrimp or diving into the bold salsa jalapeña that brings a gentle kick to the plate.
Don Ceviche’s atmosphere gathers a diverse mix of people, reflecting its reputation as a local favorite—sometimes bustling, sometimes just buzzing with low hums of conversation. The staff’s friendly attention makes it feel personal, even when it gets busy. Locals know to arrive earlier if parking is tight, a quiet nod to the place’s growing appeal as a go-to spot for great food and relaxed gatherings.
In this space, food isn’t just about flavors; it’s about connection. A shared basket of conchas, a round of limonada frozen, or the comfort of a well-poured vodka Finlandia—all become part of the unspoken conversation that fills the air. Don Ceviche invites you to slow down, taste deeply, and find your own joyful moment amid the vibrant pulse of Managua.

Food was great, I had a ceviche( fish, octopus and shrimp) it was good, I just had to add a little bit of salt, one of my friends had chicken wings( I know) they were good, not too spicy, service was great, very nice, easy to get our Bill.

Everything that’s seafood related is always tasty, delicious, but when it comes to wings they are very oily

Service is good. Food is great. Gets a little crowded so if you want to find a parking space be there early.
